DR. GOPAL RAO

Gopal Rao, M.D., F.A.C.C,
Founding member of Atlanta Heart Associates, P.C., President and Managing Partner

Dr. Rao graduated from Osmania University in India. He then moved to New York to complete his internship and residency at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn New York. Dr. Rao completed is fellowship in cardiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, as well as Cardiovascular Diseases.

Dr. Rao founded Atlanta Heart Associates where he has served as President and CEO since 1992. He has been a staple in our community over the past sixteen years.

Dr. Rao has served as Chief of Staff, Board of Trustee member, and Cardiology Department Chairman for Southern Regional Medical Center. He is currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Henry Medical Center and is a Board Member on the Henry County Board of Health.
